Atrani – Italy

Atrani is a city and comune on the Amalfi Coast in the province of Salerno in the Campania region of south-western Italy. It is located to the east of Amalfi, several minutes drive down the coast.
Atrani has a surface area 0.12 km2 making it the smallest community in all of Italy. Population was around 870 in 2016. (Wikipedia Source)

About the shot: It wasn’t easy to take this photo home, the best view of a cityscape is walking up the stairs alongside the tunnel which drives you off the town. There is a balcony with an amazing view but the people who lives there are not happy to leave you undisturbed. Another spectacular view is few steps down, right at the corner, but there’s not much room especially a busy day when river of tourists take those stairs to admire the mind blowing view of Atrani and the Amalfi Coast.

However, living and travelling quiet a bit the Amalfi Coast I just realised there are not so many spots for a beautiful and idyllic landscape to frame. Although everywhere you go, wandering the endless kilometres of the coastline there are heaps of spectacular things and view to see. Most of them, unfortunately, are not photogenic though.
