Belgrade city story – Serbia

Belgrade is the capital of the southeast European country of Serbia. Its most significant landmark is the Beogradska Tvrđava, an imposing fortress at the confluence of the Danube and the Sava rivers. The fort is a testament to the city’s strategic importance to the Roman, Byzantine, Ottoman, Serbian and Austrian empires, and it’s now the site of several museums as well as Kalemegdan, a vast park.

About the shot: There’s heaps of things and situation to frame in Belgrade. The capital of Serbia is a vibrant and never sleeping city, with a strong soul perfectly merged with the architecture background. Belgrade is another great location for portrait and people photography, even though some caution need to be taken. Apparently locals don’t like others taking pictures of them. Crawling around the city with my camera well hidden under the t-shirt, I had a little bit of a hassle struggling verbally with locals and vendors around the city
